Join Freedom Forum for a free festival that celebrates the everyday freedoms that are brought to you by the First Amendment.

Come for free performances, conversations and fun along The Wharf, featuring acclaimed musicians, comedy, books, art activations and immersive experiences. Enter the Tent of Extraordinary Freedoms to discover the surprising everyday freedoms that are brought to you by the First Amendment. Enjoy First Amendment-themed food and drink, get a caricature drawing, score some 1A swag and more.

Event Schedule

2-6 p.m. | Grove Stage

Drop by for live music all afternoon – brought to you by the First Amendment! Featuring acoustic duo The Cahoots, the Stuart-Hobson Jazz Ensemble, The Georgetown Chimes and the Choy Wun Lion Dance Troupe.

2-6 p.m. | Boathouse Stage

Experience free expression in action with Pulitzer Prize-winning Politico political cartoonist Matt Wuerker and more.

2-6 p.m. | Tent of Extraordinary Freedoms | Seventh and Wharf Streets

Enter the tent to be surprised and inspired by objects from U.S. history and pop culture that showcase the everyday freedoms that are brought to you by the First Amendment.

2-9 p.m. | Pearl Street Warehouse

Step inside this hip, intimate venue for up-close performances and conversations celebrating free expression. Space is limited. All guests must RSVP for admission to each performance. Registration is free.
